Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded. This applies to contracts for participation in a course as well as to contracts for digital content not supplied on a physical medium.
Exercising the right of withdrawal
To exercise your right of withdrawal you must inform me of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement — for example by email or by letter. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, I shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which I am informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
I will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
Early expiry for digital content
For digital content not supplied on a physical medium — that is, my PDF guides — the right of withdrawal expires early if I have begun performing the contract after you have expressly agreed that I begin before the withdrawal period ends and you have confirmed your awareness that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (§ 356 (5) BGB).
The order process asks for this consent explicitly:
"I expressly request that provision of the digital content begins before the end of the withdrawal period. I am aware that I thereby lose my right of withdrawal once provision has begun."
If you do not agree, I provide the download once the fourteen days have passed. Until then your right of withdrawal remains.
If you withdraw effectively, you get your money back and owe no compensation for the value of the digital content (§ 357a (3) BGB). At the same time your right of use ends: you may not continue to use the file afterwards and may not pass it on to third parties (§ 327p (2) BGB).
Courses that begin before the period ends
If a course is to begin during the withdrawal period, I need your express request to that effect. Your right of withdrawal remains; it expires only once I have fully performed the service and began performance only after your express consent.
If you withdraw from a course that has already begun, you must pay me an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until the point at which you informed me of your withdrawal, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract (§ 357 (8) BGB).
